The Lesbians and Cancer Dialogues -------------------------------------------------------------
The Lesbians and Cancer Dialogues is a staged reading of quotes from The
Lesbians and Breast Cancer Project, a two-year participatory study that
explored how being lesbian affects the experience of cancer and cancer
care. Twenty-six lesbians diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancer
were interviewed about their feelings during diagnosis and treatment and
their perceptions about the resulting shifts in identity, body, sexuality
and relationships. The Lesbians and Cancer Dialogues is an opportunity
to hear their experiences first hand.
The Lesbians and Cancer Dialogues were performed in Ontario in 2005 and
2006. At this time, no further dates have been booked for the Dialogues.
